A Gorgeous Lake Front Wedding | Red Lake, Ontario

Over the course of the year leading up to Haley & Garrett's wedding day, she asked so many questions, and I was of course, more than happy to help. I love that she wanted my opinion on how to go about things to make their wedding day flow effortlessly. One of the first things you notice about Haley is her beautiful smile and it definitely lights up any room. The fact that she loves bow hunting is very impressive so there was no surprise that some bridal & reception details were hunting themed.

Haley & Garrett's wedding day was nothing short of beautiful and amazing! I started with bridal prep photos at her parents home by the lake which was also where the ceremony was. To say I had a little fun with her details would be an understatement. While we were running a bit late, the groomsmen managed to squeeze in some fishing but we still managed to do a Father/Daughter first look before we raced out the door to do the first look with Garrett.

The rain held off just enough for us to get everything done outside. First look, family portraits and some bridal party portraits. The ceremony was another story. With Garrett and his groomsmen arriving by boat, they endured a little rain making their way to the dock. The ceremony was delayed 10 minutes due to heavy rain and then a light drizzle continued though the ceremony but it cleared up again in time to do some bridal portraits right after. I have yet to use my clear umbrellas for bridal photos!

The reception was filled with laughter and happy tears as family & friends gave heartfelt toasts. To have the bride & groom kiss, there was the unforgettable attempts at a moose call. I also loved the challenge of running with Haley & Garrett to every table and capturing a photo with them and their guests during a song! Talk about fun! Shortly before the party started, Haley, Garrett, and I were able to sneak away for a few minutes to capture some sunset photos. With the moose calls & the sunset, it doesn't get more Northwestern Ontario than that!
