A Ghost Lake Beach Maternity Session

One of the greatest joys as a photographer is always seeing couples grow into families. When Christina inquired about a maternity session, I thought we had more time to plan but as it turned out, she was already 36 weeks so this was quickly put together but I couldn't be more happy with the outcome of these photos!
Ghost Lake is one of my favourite lakes! The clarity of the water was ideal for what I had in mind and I'm so happy Trevor & Christina & sweet Maddy were up for it all. Even with a few tears as seen below, Maddy made it through like a champ!
We started up at the entrance where the ferns were tall and made our way down to the rock point for some shots in the shade. It was still very bright and the sun reflecting on the water made a harsh light, but we had to do this fairly early so Maddy wouldn't miss her bedtime. We finished the session in the water and then a quick wardrobe change for some fun photos with Miss Maddy who was a little happier after having played in the sand with her Grandma.
Evening light is always the best light. These are some of my favourite maternity photos to date! Thank you so much for having me Gauthier family & for allowing me have creative freedom. It was a lot of fun!
