A Intimate Vermilion Bay Love Story

September 21, 2019

When I arrived in the morning to take detail shots, I had no idea what had taken place only hours before, as the tent and everything inside was absolutely beautiful! The tables were full of greenery and flowers and they were beyond gorgeous. From the looks of these pictures, one would have no idea that it torrential down poured the night before and there was a small river running through the reception tent. All the tables and chairs had to be removed and a load of sand put down and then everything was placed back like nothing ever happened. The wedding day also called for extreme thundershowers and the outdoor ceremony was moved inside the tent and that made me a little nervous but that was simply not to be. There were a few rain showers in the morning but it cleared up a bit when I headed to Cassidy's Mom's for some bridal prep photos and I don't recall it raining for the rest of the day! In fact, the sun came out and it was glorious!

When meeting with Cassidy & Ryan, she mentioned that the most important photos to her were of her family & guests and as I snapped candid photos, I remembered why I love weddings.....everyone is happy, smiling, and full of love for the couple that is getting married! The ceremony was intimate and full of joy! If there were any tears, they were happy ones. After the ceremony, I wasn't 100% sure if it was going to start raining anytime soon, so I did things a little backwards then I normally do. I started with photos of the bride & groom, then bridal party, then family. Thankfully, the sun was shining the entire time!

One of my favourite parts of this wedding was having The Black Oven make pizza for dinner! Definitely a fun and unique experience for this intimate country wedding! We also even managed to get some great sunset pictures with amazing storm clouds in the distance.

The evening ended with dancing the night away and I still can't get over what was supposed to be a crazy rainy day, and how it turned into a gorgeous and sunny afternoon. If anyone deserves this miracle weather change, it would be these two lovely people!

Thank you so much Cassidy & Ryan for having me photograph your love story and I wish you both all the happiness in the world!

Love,

Michelle
